November 2023

I hope everyone is well and got through Halloween and Bonfire Night safely. We didn’t have many fireworks near us, thank goodness, but the pups didn’t seem bothered at all. Only Rupert barked once and he got told to shut up by Edie. She’ taking her role as Mum very seriously!

Since I last wrote, I’ve been staying at Kathy’s in Farnham while trying to find somewhere in County Durham to rent. I did a quick visit up a week ago and it’s really beautiful. The dogs will love it. Lots of fresh air and space. And thank you to everyone who reached out to me, it was nice to hear from you.

In the meantime, I’ve been back at work doing 1-2-1 sessions as well as a lot of charity work for rescues. As you may know, I am a trustee for Salt’s Helping Hounds Rescue but I also volunteer for The Animal Team who arrange home checks and transport for rescues all around the UK. I’ve seen lots of potential adopter, and sadly, a few dogs who need assessment because they are being surrendered for rehoming. There are lots of reasons why a person gives up a dog and it’s never easy but I try to make the process as easy as possible so that the owner understands that sometimes it really is the best thing for them and their dog.

There will be a few changes to my services once I’ve moved up to the North including some online work and a membership programme. As many of my Southern Clients may still need some help, I want to be there for them as before.

But in the meantime, I can’t wait to get back to what I love doing, training people and their dogs.

Best wishes and wishing you all a very Merry Christmas from the whole team!

Sara, Kathy, Edie, Rupert, Boudi and Freya.
